When I first start speaking to someone about the angels there are some questions that seem to be universal. I thought it might be helpful to post some of them here.

Q: When you see the angels, do you see them as if seeing a person or is it in you mind?
A: When I saw the first angel I saw him as if I was seeing a person in front of me. Afterward, I was more aware of him in my minds eye. There are times when I see angels very clearly around me, but most of the time when I communicate with them I see them through my minds eye rather than my physical eyes.

Q: Are you scared when you communicate with the angels?
A: Not at all! Even during my first encounter I was not scared. There is an immense feeling of love and safety that emanates from them and it is such a joy for me to be in their presence.

Q: Are they from God?
A: The angels answered this question this way: "We (meaning the angels) are part of the Divine, just as you (meaning all of mankind) are part of the Divine. The Divine exists in all things all around you. When you (meaning all of mankind) understand this, you are kind to all of creation. All souls are eternal and we are all connected." There is more to this answer, but it gets very long, so I'm giving a summary here.

Q: Were angels people before they were angels?
A: No. The angels share with me that they were never human. It is their purpose to help and guide us through our human lives and to greet us when we pass away from here and move into the light. They may also play a role when we are in the light and our souls are ready to either move further into the light, come back to earth or move on to being spirit guides ourselves, but we do not become angels.

Q: Are you scared when you communicate with the spirits of people that are deceased?
A: No, I am not scared, but it isn't the same thing as communicating with the angels. Since these souls were people they sometimes get too close and I have to ask the angels for help in letting them know that they need to communicate with me more gently. They are never bitter or angry and they don't feel ominous in any way, but some of them are so anxious to let me know what they have to say that I intensely feel their urgency. This may change as I am very new to working with this skill.

Q: How does it all happen for you?
A: There are times when I have specific questions for the angels. At those times I begin by addressing my angel, Alexander. From there, I usually encounter many angels and I hear distinct voices giving the answers that I need. When an individual asks me to contact their angel, I ask if I'm able to be introduced to that angel and usually very quickly that angel appears. The messages that I receive from the angels are very clear and they usually come quickly. There are times when an angel will have so much to say that it will take more than a day for me to get the entire message. It is easiest for me to sit and write it all down as if it is flowing right through me. The deceased people are a little more difficult. Sometimes they come merely at the suggestion of contacting them, and other times I have to ask them to come to me. It usually doesn't happen right away. They may arrive hours later or a day later, but I haven't had an experience where I couldn't contact someone.

Q: Are you psychic?
A: No. This is especially important to know if you want to contact a deceased loved one. I need to know something about that person so that I can properly identify the spirit. Usually I do not get a clear vision of the deceased soul. I receive emotions and then words. I don't have to have long descriptions, but knowing something helps me to hear the spirit more clearly.

Q: Do you need to be near someone in order to contact their angels?
A: No. I don't even need to know the person. The angels will let me know what they want to say and I merely deliver the message. If you have a specific question, I can ask the angels, but in these cases, it usually takes me longer to get the message. Again, it is always best for me to be in a situation where I can sit and write it out while I'm receiving the message.

Q: Do you need to go into a trance to encounter these beings?
A: No! Thats the funny part! I have four young children and quiet time for me is very rare. The angels and the spirits come to me at all different times. Often when I'm talking to someone about their angel, the angel is giving me information at the same time. This results in some stuttering on my part, which is one reason why I prefer to write it all down and then give the message.
