Several people have talked to me this week about their cards, so I thought it would be a good idea to post some information here. I have several decks of cards that include Soul Coaching Cards, Goddess Cards, Celtic Wisdom Cards and Angel Cards. My Soul Coaching cards and Angel cards are new, so I haven't had a chance to use them much. I used my Goddess cards and Celtic Wisdom cards often and never thought much about letting other people touch them.

Then this week one of the ladies in my soul coaching group e mailed the group about suggestions for clearing her cards after letting someone else use them. While talking to another friend last night I realized that, of course, it makes sense to clear the cards since the cards do indeed connect with our energy! Most card decks come with a booklet and you will usually find suggestions within that booklet for blessing and clearing your cards. Here are some things that my group came up with:

1.     Hold the card deck in one hand and touch each card with intention as you restore the deck to your energy.
2.     If you have a sacred bell, gently ring the bell as you turn each card ( I like this one as I love to use my bell ).
3.     Doreen Virtue, PhD suggests holding your cards to your heart and imagining white light pouring through your heart          and your cards.

You could always do something more elaborate like create your own clearing ceremony that involves burning sage and  asking your guides or spirit allies to bless your cards. Although this is certainly more time consuming, the idea appeals to me! Anything that you choose will be right for you. Cards are a terrific way to get clarity on issues that are coming up for you in the present. I don't believe that you can ever tell the future, whether its through cards or through a psychic or any other means! But, there is a magic that occurs when you work with a deck of cards and they allow you to focus your energy and intention in a way that brings out the most meaningful answers for you.
