Three little fur balls are barely noticeable in the depths of the nest just outside of my window! I peeked out on Wednesday to find the little blue eggs and I kept straining my neck, but couldn't find them. My mind was imagining all kinds of horrible things that might have happened to them when suddenly, a teeny beak opened wide, waiting for something to be dropped in! I was so excited!

Mommy Robin was off hunting to get something to feed her little critters and when she returned, I saw not just one little beak opening, but three. They look like those fuzzy pom pom's that you find in craft stores and they blend in with the color of the nest so well that you don't notice they're there until they open they're mouths. I think its kind of funny that Mommy Robin still sits on her critters and when I suggested to my three year old that I sit on him to keep him warm he told me that he thought that would hurt.
